What is The Bookie?
--This is a betting system just for fun. Every user starts with 500 in virtual cash money (Vcash) to make bets. You can bet on events started by the bookies. You have to be logged in to bet.
Why can't I start an event?
--Only bookies start the events. You may bet on any event you wish to. Usually these will be Hednesford games with odds roughly based on the real life odds but any events can be added throughout the season... they will be posted in the Bookie Events thread on the forum.
How do I bet?
--Enter an event thread on the forum, type in the amount of VCash you want to bet next to the corresponding odds you favor, and then click bet now.
Why isn't a game listed for betting?
--Probably I haven't got around to adding it or am waiting for the odds to be released. If anybody fancies helping me with this system by becoming a bookie and taking charge of posting new events then please PM me... but it's a season long commitment.
What happens if I run out of money?
--Users that have less than 25 in Vcash will have their cash set to 25 whenever a new Event is added.
Can I give my Vcash to other users or have it re-set?
--No. It isn't planned to re-set the totals even at the end of the season. If you run out of VCash you will be given 25 when a new event is added as stated above but you would need to win bets to build it back up again.
When will my cash total be changed after a game has concluded?
--When a bookie settles the event, your cash will be updated. Please keep in mind this may not happen immediately after the game or event.
