15 mins

Ilkeston Town 0-0 Hednesford

Good opening 15 for the pitmen balance of play around 60/40 to us at the moment

Ross Dyer has gone close with a couple of half chances, especially one where Palms floated a free kick from right hand touchline,a flick on by Hanna found Ross who could only half hit his shot which the keeper managed to smother on the line

Still mostly Hednesford although Ilkeston have also gone close on a couple of occasions.

We are seeing plenty of the ball though and using it well to create numerous attacking options with Big Tone and Chris Adam prominent in many build ups so far.

Half Time

Ilkeston Town 0-0 Hednesford

Excellent first half from the Pitmen, numerous chances created and just a whisker away from scoring in quite a few.Playing some nice controlled football and Ilkeston have been restricted to a couple of half chances and made to rely on the long ball approach.

Looks like 0-0's all round at half time...

Gulls v seagulls also in FA Cup rnd 2

Sadly it is absolutely chucking it down here....so a dash to the pub for a half-time pint is off!

Del . I see you have a 5' 1" dwarf who plays for you, but I am told he is more than useful.

You speak for yourself!! :D

I'm usually too tired to score in the second half!! :tape:

Take it you mean Danny Stevens....is he as big as 5'-1"??

Ilkeston Town 0-0 Hednesford

Bit of a change around this half as we have been under the cosh most of it.
The home side have come out with all guns blazing and we are struggling to get out of our own half at times.
Nagington is on for Adam and Brown on for Maguire.
Hope we don't rue those missed first half chances.

As I type Brownie has just gone on a dazzling run from the half way line only to scythed down by defender just outside box.No good free kick has come to nothing.

where is Mario? Is he injured? He scored two goals a couple of weeks ago and seems to have disappeared!! Please tell me he hasn't been dropped!!!:(

Full Time

Ilkeston Town 0-0 Hednesford

Game of two halves we controlled the first and Ilkeston the second.

Came with a late flourish when a Nagington screamer was deflected for a corner and Ross Dyer went close with another effort.

All in all looks like a draw was a fair result.

we had last minute chance, apparantly was 2 yards over the line:(

Was most definetly over the line. Had a good view from the strangly postioned stand in the corner. If all the chances were taken we would have won 9-8!!.

Bod can now enjoy his Saturday night pint as the lads kept a clean sheet but Phil will be more concerned about the chances missed by the forwards.

Oh well enjoy the break, hope to see you all back for the Whitby game on the 15th.

Remember the Youth are at home to Chasetown on Monday night (weather permiting) so you can still get your football fix down Keys Park.

No cincidence of course that the first clean sheet for some time coincides with Masha's return (or that the blank at the other end reflects Mario's continued absence)
