well let's get the ref out of the way first - he was a complete nob head easily on par with Mr Sutton
We defended very poorly today and if I was manager I would be asking myself if we are really promotional material or not ,conceeded 5 goals in two games again, alright one was a cup match but this needs addressing sooner rather than later.
As an attack force we did ok,created chances should have had a penalty on Ross for obstruction, but for me Haan should be released back to Walsall,if he was brought here as a player that runs around alot then ok,but if here was in the team as a striker then he doesn't quite cut it for me.
Why wasn't brown playing,Adam was hardly in the game perhaps not fit,on a final note we need to build a team that plays week and week out I know we have injuries but what happens when all the loan players go,we have to start from scratch.
Oh almost forgot their bloke on the Tannoy was entertainment how he described all their goals as beautiful strikes (to**ser)

I don't think you would get a penalty for obstruction! Isn't that one of those "offenses" you get an indirect-freekick for?
Glad I am not a Derby fan, but Mr Battenburg yesterday wouldn't have looked out of place in the Unibond.

As a Witton fan, I'm not one for posting on oppositions websites as opinions are bound to differ.
HOWEVER, a few Hednesford fans who were there yesterday need a reality check.
Yes, the ref was poor, if he had been on the ball then Hednesfords 7 and 8 would have been in the book in the first 10 mins, and your 11 should have been straight after.
Brisco's challenge on Macpherson was a joke, and potentially career ending. The very assertion that Macca in some way "tried to get him sent off" is as idiotic as the challenge itself.
Macca had would Brisco up moments before by belting him with a very hard but fair challenge infront of the dugout. One of our players told us after the game that Brisco had told one of the players in the dugout that it was "party time" before trying to snap Macca in half. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.
Macca had been kicked all over the park for 90 minutes (like most of our players) and responded by completely dominating the midfield and driving us onto yet another victory. Fair play to him I say.
And the response of your directors to our singing "Macca get the beers in" and "Thank you very much for sacking Macca" was also not inkeeping with the spirit the game should be played in.
I think my screen name sums up Hednesford's approach yesterday perfectly.

Well, we lost yesterday but, on the whole, I thought we played pretty well, particularly the midfield pairing of Chad Sheppard and Wayne Dyer.
The referee was completely rubbish, one of the most biased that I have seen for many matches, he did not even try to disguise the fact that he was a blatant 'homer', absolute crap! As soon as Brisco tackled MacPherson I knew that the clown was going to send him off. What about Macca's two footed tackle moments before? Absolutely nothing!
The good points from the game for me,
1. Chad Sheppard, excellent performance - midfield looks good.
2. Ross Dyer getting on the score sheet again.
3. At least we lost to the top side in the League whose position at the end of the season we are unlikely to influence.
4. Robinson was excellent in defence and glad to see him still at the club.
5. Starting to see the end of the injury crisis, hopefully Palmer, Masha and Stychey will be available soon.
Bad points,
1. Need to convert more of our good approach play into goals.
2. We are now in 12th place and 10 points off the play off places, if we do not put a sustained run of winning results together soon it will leave a mountain to climb in the new year.
3. Hesitancy between the goalkeeper and defence is leading to us letting in goals at crucial stages of games.
4. Must get a left back soon so that 'Mr Dependable', Ross Adams, can move to the right side where he can influence the game more.
Witton are a very competent side and look a good bet for promotion, they certainly did not need the help of their '12th man' on the pitch but I suppose the least said about that referee, the better. An absolute joke, shouldn't referee pub football!

No fans?!

4th in the average attendance charts BEFORE yesterday. Who's that just 1 place above us in 3rd?! Oh that will be you lot!!
However stats such as attendances and how good/bad your ground is don't carry much weight (i very much enjoyed visiting your ground last season, as did the rest of our more-sizeable away following than you managed to bring yesterday), the only stats that matter are points on the board. And the REALITY of that is; you don't have very many.

I think we need to start looking over our shoulders a bit rather than aiming for the play-offs - let's run before we can walk! We need a positive result at Kendal and one against Lincoln - we aren't too far ahead of Leek and until we get 46 points on the board I'll be nervous.
On the subject of support Witton must be a little disappointed with their home gates given the fact that they are romping away with the league and banging goals in for fun. 'Fans' are fickle, but I suspect if we were in Witton's shoes we'd be pulling in 650+ every week.

Well the 650 thought would be pretty much spot on for you lot. Hednesford's fans are amongst the most fickle i have come across in non league football. Don't you feel a bit silly that you only have 400 fans rattling around that big impressive ground of yours now that all the glory hunters are staying away? And lets be honest, the 400 fans you have are hardly renowned for getting behind your team are they?

Tell you what, we'll admit we're well beaten in the attendances war and just settle for the points... :clap2:
Best of luck for the rest of the season.

And the famous old saying seems very appropriate now Robbo "quality not quantity" ;)

Obviously I meant walk before we can run!
I can't think of many clubs who don't have fickle fans - Chasetown seem to have acquired new fans over the last couple of seasons, Wolves - well need I say more etc etc. It's just human nature I guess

although i doubt it, maybe yesterday was a one-off as we are actually 2nd in the fair play league this season.

I have to say that a number of Witton fans need a reality check not to mention the removal of your rose tinted glasses.
Both teams on saturday put in some rash challenges but you do get some in any game.
The ref spoilt the game by not taking control early on which would have resulted in more of a football game. Both ref & lino's missed numerous silly fouls like shirtpulling including the incident when a Witton player had a HTFC player practically round the neck & a blatant foul in the box for us which I have no doubt would have been given if it would have been in Witton's favour.
I'm not commenting on the sending off as from where I standing I did not have a view of the tackle as I was still in shock from us not been given a foul for the tackle in front of the dugout. I always thought you were supposed to win the ball in a tackle.
Anyway its over now and there is nothing we can do about it now so let the football do the talking for the rest of the season.
