This site had 23,848 unique visitors during October, an average of 769 per day. They looked at 140,754 pages, averaging 4,540 daily.
Page loads are commonly called 'hits'. Unique visitors are counted only once per visit no matter how many pages they load.
For those interested in this stuff I have now made the stats publicly available so you can see not just numbers, but geeky things like where the visitors are coming from etc etc.
You can access these stats by clicking THIS LINK (http://my.statcounter.com/project/standard/stats.php?project_id=420737&guest=1)

Hi Steve :clap2:
You can probably add a few more to those regular user numbers!
The results are based on cookies being "plopped" into your pc...and I, probably like many others, clean up all cookies etc at least once a day, so often a returning visit is not logged as a regular user, but as a unique, one-off user because the system cannot determine a cookie it left earlier! :D
Simple really!

Yes, you're quite right of course. There needs to be a cookie present from a previous session to distinguish a returning visitor from a first time visitor. I guess the only conclusion you can draw is there are at least the number of returning visitors as the number shown but it's a bit of a pointless stat anyway.
Must admit I don't know anyone that deletes cookies daily. Some of them are very useful so I just use something like AdAware occasionally to get rid of the ad tracking ones.

Yes, that's what I meant....you are getting more hits, not less ... but it is a good indication as to how well used the site is...thanks to you!! :clap2:
Btw ... I use Malware Wipe...which cleans out my cookies etc at set intervals every day.

No, the number of hits is right Del... it's just how those hits are divided between first time and returning visitors that isn't particularly accurate.
