It would be very much appreciated if anyone has any news, I hope he will stay as I have already seen 2 of my favourite players leave this season and seeing a third will plunge me into the depths of despair!!!:(

Dont jump off the bridge yet Rocco. As of this morning Alfreton had not spoken with the player so we live in hope.

Cheers Rod, thanks for keeping me posted!! How exactly does the 7 days rule work, does a club have to give 7 days notice before they can speak to the player or do they have to speak to the player within 7 days, sorry If I'm sounding a bit thick?!?!??!:o

The seven day rule is that you must notify the players club by recorded delivery or new for this season by e-mail that you intend to speak with player A.N.Other. The seven days is from the date of posting.
After the seven days has expired you then have 21 days to talk to the player.

You cannot put more than one seven days notice into the same club in a 28 day period and you cannot put another one in to the same club for the same player if he does not move after the first 28 days period has expired.

The rule is for the movement of non contract players. The seven day period is to enable the club holding the players registration time to talk to the player.

Hope that gives you a little insight into the seven day rule.

Hi Glyn

spoke to Phil late last night and still no news about `Robbo`. He trained with us on Thursday night and is named in the squad for todays game.

Thanks Terry, and I can't tell you how honoured I am that you've only posted twice on this forum and they've both been replies to posts of mine...
