The youth lads have two games next week. On monday we play over at Walsall Wood in a "home" fixture v Nuneaton Griff in the Bham Youth Cup. After getting to the final last season, we will be doing our best to get there again, and hopefully go one step further and win it! There will be quite a few changes to the squad due to a few of the lads on "first team duty" the folowing night at Rocester. However, I am sure whoever faces "the griff" will give a good account of themselves and hopefully a win. We then travel to Nuneaton Boro on Friday evening to see if we can make it 5 straight wins in the league. A tough fixture with the boro not dropping points in their opening 4 league games.
Should be in a position to bring in two new players this week, and hopefully be av for the trip on Friday..
Will be making the trip to Rocester to keep an eye on the youngsters, so if you are travelling come and have a chat!;)
Cheers for now

Yes, it will be a big week of football for the young players next week. After the slow start to the season, the MFYL Premier league table is starting to look a little better now! http://www.communigate.co.uk/worcs/mfyl/page5.phtml

That Ben who has played for Oldbury United for 2 years and has had England Youth trials etc is still waiting a call which Terry was going to pass on to Birchy
He is still interested in joining Hednesford so I gather

We do not usually miss too many opportunities to bring good youth team players to the club, Nemesis3, and I am sure that Birchy will follow up any leads that are passed on to him.
We have brought in three excellent signings in recent weeks, Lewis Nicholls, Adam Walker and Luke Hook, players that have made a significant difference to our attacking options and we are on the verge of signing two more top quality youth players, (one who is also at England youth trials!).
We have had a number of England youth team players and triallists over recent seasons, the last two being Steve Brannan and Aaron Kelter, (SB currently at Leek Town).

Good day to you Glyn, it was indeed a great performance by any measure. No points on the night but some of these young men 'grew up' last night and will be better for it!
You have probably gathered over your time following youth football developments at Hednesford that I absolutely hate losing! However, there are ways of losing properly and these players found that last night, they were a credit.
