If you have something constructive to say then say it, football is all about opinions.
If the usual people just want to spout the usual destructive garbage on here then don't bother. Your posts will be removed from the message board and so will your user account. I don't give a damn if you pay your eight quid every two weeks, it doesn't entitle you to say whatever you like on the clubs official message board about its staff and players.
Yes, it's a difficult time. We've got virtually an entire team out injured at the moment and four players who played tonight despite carrying knocks because there was little alternative. It's not an excuse, there are few clubs at any level that would be unaffected by that situation.
Criticise if you want to, that's the norm here for the type of people that boo the man of the match announcement for their own team. Try supporting the club, you might even find you enjoy it better. The majority of supporters have a better grasp of what is going on and don't have an axe to grind about the managers position.

I've never booed a Hednesford team or player in 50 years of following them, but still welcome the forum as a place where people can ask questions about what seems at best a mini-crisis. We were led to believe by those present at his interview that the manager came over as someone with a vision of Hednesford's future. Perhaps someone 'in the know' could update us on quite what that vision is.

Hi Steve. Is there any official comment from the club about Mr Starbucks outburst on sat? I actually work with the fan that was abused and to say he and his family are not amused is putting it lightly. I think for the sake of future fan relations something needs to be seen to be done.

"The Majority", come on Steve thats so far from the truth :(
I would say 80% think that Mr Starbuck doesn't know what he's doing

I did hear last night that Mr Starbuck was questioned about his abilities at Rushall in what terminology I can't be sure but it must have hit a raw nerve for him to reply with abuse instead of taking it professionally !

Not as far as I know. As I said to you, I didn't see this alleged incident and I wouldn't have thought any of the club officials did either as they weren't part of the crowd that had gathered at the exit from the pitch to offer their 'advice' to Phil and the players.
I have to say that having heard the type of abuse and seen the aggressive gestures being directed at the manager I personally find it quite amusing that if he did indeed say anything back then suddenly it's shock horror and concern for kids.
If your workmate is that concerned he needs to write to the club rather than get someone else to post on a public message board. Better still have a word with Phil himself privately rather than being part of a crowd shouting at the guy, he's very approachable.
Nothing will get sorted out on here so as far as the message board is concerned this subject is closed.

As a supporter of the club for over 40 years and having attended along with a ten year old and having had no involvement in the type of incidents Steve W reports about it concerns me that you are amused.I heard and saw the managers response as did others as we walked out.I don't find that acceptable in all sorts of ways.Public foul language and actions by the manager need a public apology.Without it then I assume the club condones that behaviour.Silence will confirm that.I personally also condemn any fans action that is inappropriate. As I asked at the outset is this behaviour acceptable?

Try reading what I actually wrote. I'm amused by the reaction to the alleged incident, not by the incident itself.
Personally speaking I don't find public foul language acceptable no matter where it comes from, be it supporters, players, managers, physios, tea ladies or whatever. If I had my way they'd all be lined up against a wall and made to apologise but football is a passionate game I guess.
I know some people want to make a drama out of this purely because it's seen as another knock the manager opportunity. You're not going to get the reaction you want from the club on here so as I said before as far as the message board is concerned this subject is well and truly closed. You will need to either respect that or post your concerns elsewhere.

Post Deleted: you clearly haven't grasped the concept of a Closed Subject.
Go on any message board anywhere on the internet - if a moderator states a subject is closed then it's closed. You may not like it but that's how it is. If you can't respect that then you have to expect to be booted.

A supporters message board, is a medium through which we can provide our (hopefully considered) opinion on club matters/ team performances etc and maybe dare I say it vent our frustrations!!
So (at the risk of censorship) here goes!!
Personally, I can't see any methodology in what is going on with regard to the playing side, other than short-term panic and crossed fingers. At the end of last year (after our season fell away in an alarming manner), wholesale changes were made to the squad, apparently to bring an improvement to the football at keys park. We shipped a load out and bought in many new faces, who apparently (certainly in the case of McPherson and Knox) we had been chasing for sometime. Here we are, not two months later with those self-same "quality" players, the basis of a new team having been released for who knows what and been replaced with players who, even to the untrained eye of a supporter are clearly not up to scratch. Mc Pherson out/ Palmer in - just about says it all!!! So while they go onto bigger and better things, we are stuck in the doldrums with the same old faces!!
For Mr Walkers benefit, i am not one of the sack the manager brigade and much prefer to post my opinions here than get on the teams back and shout them from the terraces. That said, who else can be responsible for this? He is the man who singled the players out he wanted to bring in, and he is the man who for whatever reason has failed to integrate them into a team or the club. In effect we are now in the situation (regardless of injuries) of playing catch up with regard to a settled team, and the door just keeps revolving!!! Added to this we have had no left back of any description all season (a blindingly obvious issue), and despite not having 2 fit centre backs to rub together, we have just let a high quality centre half go on loan to a club in the division higher - please, you can't make it up!!!!
We are no further forward (in fact back-pedalling) from the situation we were in when Chris Brindley was given the push, except of course we are in a lower division, with smaller crowds!! The only players of any ability or commitment (with the exception of Robinson) are Adams, Dyer and Marshall, who (not-coincidently) are the only pre-Starbuck faces!!!
Incidentally, this is not a vitriolic rant, but a considered opinion of a supporter of 25 years, with legitimate concerns!!

Shag I totally agree with that sentiment. I don't agree with some of the content of your post but it's well put and it's all about opinions after all. 'Venting frustrations' is fine but there are certain things that aren't acceptable on an official football club message board. I am not of course talking about your posting here, which is a pleasure if a little painful to read.
I know it isn't understood or appreciated at the moment but all I and any moderators are trying to do is to ensure that you actually HAVE a message board to vent those frustrations on. Too many official forums have been shut down at other clubs and if it were just a 'anything goes free-for-all' on here then this one would surely follow suit.
We are all hurting at the moment and I'm not trying to stop anyone having their two penneth (do people still say that?). All I ask is that everyone shows a little respect and common decency particularly towards the management and players who I can promise you are just as frustrated as we are.
Thanks

I have been a supporter of Starbuck since he came here but the last two matches have really tested my resolve. There's been enough said about the Rushall game but last night the lack of confidence in the team was clear. On numerous occasions players lost out in the tackle and their shoulders dropped straight away. We were once again out-ran by a team we beat easily and with a great performance back in August.
The left back situation is something that really riles with me as it is so clearly obvious to anyone watching that we need a left back. Also our midfield were once again ineffective and the ease at which Buxton were able to control the ball in the centre of the pitch was very dissappointing.
At the end of the day, these are playing matters which the board must have confidence in Phil to sort out. The thing that worries me the most is that last nights attendance was 367, take out the decent travelling Buxton fans and it leaves a little over 300 Hednesford fans left attending the game. When the weather gets nasty and we go into the winter months the part time fans (no disrespect to them) may see a night in as a better option.

Fans are entitled to express how they feel but there are ways and means of doing this. I would never have booed Ross Dyer yesterday as he got man of the match for a reason. He wasnt my first choice man of the match yest but he did get us back in the game with a well taken goal, credit where credits due. I was hoping this would boost his confidence but booing him will not have helped that. As i said earlier the results weve had lately have been a million miles away from what we experienced at the start of the season. But the club is still HTFC. However if fans are not happy they should be able to express that but as I say there are ways and means of doing this and booing the players and Manager is not one
