Hi Rodh
Could you clarify if the game with the USA Deaf Team is still going ahead it still advertised on the home page fixtures, only the tannoy did not announce it on Thursday and John the tannoy man said it wasn’t on his fixture list. I heard that some work was being done the pitch and the game was in doubt?
Regards

The MD will be meeting the firm who are preparing the pitch for the new season on Monday. Depending on what the specialists report,a final decision with regard to the USA match will be made by Tuesday latest.

Contrary to the previous posting the game is still on but will not be played at Keys Park. The reason for the delay in making a posting is that we are still trying to find a pitch to play the game. It has a chance of being played at the Blake School or even away at a ground to be advised.
I have been advised that it will be full first team playing the match but this may be reviewed after having the opponents watched.
Apologies for delay but 'watch this space' for further update.
latest news will be displayed on main home page as soon as plans are put into place.

The pitch has had to be re-seeded in some areas due to the heavy rain washing away the earlier planted seeds. The new seeds are now starting to come through and by cancelling the USA game there will not be a game on the pitch until Wrexham's first team arrive on Saturday 4th August.
In the long term an improved playing surface is more important than a friendly fixture which had created little interest. If you still want to watch the USA Deaf Team they will be playing Rushall Olympic on Thursday at Dales Lane.It will be £4 for Adults and £2 concessions, kick off 7.45pm.

Suggest we take it off the home page fixture list to avoid any confusion just in case anybody has not read Rod's post.
