Team that started was :

Wheeler, Meakin-Richards, Sucharewycz, Farmer, T.Marshall, Gibbons, Hawthorne, Briggs, Dickinson, Brown, Birch.

There were a few subs but lost track of them. Those I can remember were Robinson, C.Marshall and Styche.

As you can see probably only two of the starting line up will be likely starters on August 18th, which is good because tonight's performance was very poor. We were a bit better in the second half, but not much.

Kidsgrove are a good side with some excellent signings, we may be playing them next season in the Unibond Premier I would imagine.

See Home Page Match report (and BTW if we're going to have detailed reports like that this season then that's a definite site improvement!), what did MacPherson do to upset the gaffer, everyone else got a kick!!

:p

Did we not try to sign that Lennon who tore us apart? Might be worth a bid now..

Well we always seem to sign a player we've played against in pre-season; Carl Palmer, Darren Alexander??? Any others?

WIth his record he is likely to be on a contract. This may put him out of our reach.
If confirmed Forsdick looks like a good signing from the Yeltz:clap2:

As the Sentinel newspaper reported the match:

"LENNON ON MARK AS GROVE HIT THREE

09:40 - 18 July 2007

Kidsgrove continued their pre-season programme with a convincing 3-0 home victory against UniBond Premier Division side Hednesford.Michael Lennon was first to strike for Grove, cutting inside and beating two defenders before firing across the goalkeeper on 15 minutes.

Lennon then claimed an assist, setting up Matt Rhead for Kidsgrove's second following a cross by Phil Hadland three minutes before the break.

Hednesford barely created a chance and Lennon completed the scoring with his second after 82 minutes."

Neil Baker (Crewe's assistant Manager) was also at the match.

What happened to our team last night, i no you have to play trialists but last night i was amazed, apart from masha who i thought personally held the back 4 together last night and suchalongname at left back what happened to everyone else, mac didn't even feature last night either which i thought was strange. To be fair to the lads tho, we did start passing the ball about quite well at times, i though briggs, who i like from his spell before, linked well wit masha at times and threaded some nice balls throught to the left winger. Still like the look of robinson, him and masha will be a right team together along with adams and suchalongname, mac, briggs and wardy will link well, with nox, dyer and naggington running the front line. all round looks good!!
