Hallo

Just having a look through some of our signings, it seems that we have an impressive defence, if we go for the wing back system the possible defence is:

Adams, Robinson, Sucharwyzch, Simms, Masha

If I remember right Adams has a pretty decent cross on him, if Masha can improve his distribution then is should cement his place in the 1st team. Ideal I prefer 4-4-2 which might be needed with the amount of midfielders we have but which central defender would be dropped?

Just a quick question anyone know the whereabouts of Danny Bacon? Thought he would be a good attacking midfielder/winger.

I think Danny Bacon was a short term signing and was sure it was decided by Phil not to retain him.

As for that defence Hallo I haven't got Ross Adams down as definitely signed yet, or maybe I have missed that somewhere along the line. Can anyone confirm or not?

yeah, but that story says Darren Alexander is staying with us as well and I'm sure I read somewhere that he isn't

so I can understand why Keith doesn't believe a word of it....

Ross Adam's has signed, I had not up dated the news page as yet as I was going to use his signing with news of another signing but I have a problem with that one at the moment :wall:.We are trying to sort it out and will have news on line asap.

I did not want to update with single signings. Due to the delay I should have put it on the forum at least.

With regard to Phil's original 'hit list' of players for me to get signed from those players who are currently training with the club I have to still get two more signed. One is from last seasons Youth team who is away on holiday and the other is one of the new lads who has unfortunately had to have an operation to sort out a cartlidge problem.:crutch:

There may be others but Phil and Jimmy are giving some players the chance to shine/impress in the pre season friendlies and at further training sessions.

I have discovered this morning that Darren has signed for Leek Town last night - obviously not signed for

Why have we let him get away ? I understood he signed for nantwich obviously not -

Subject to remaining injury free Knox and Naginton are likely first choice add the Youth team players and Dyer and possible triallists and where is he likely to get regular football here or Leek.

Big Ed, we did not let Darren 'get away'.

It was Darrens choice to leave as he wanted a club nearer to home and nearer to the college where he is studying, in Alsager I believe, hence he originally chose to go to Nantwich. Obviously a better offer looks like it has come in from Leek Town and all I can say is good luck to the lad. He never let us down for effort last season and you can't argue with that.

with the new signings confirmed today (see Home Page) I knew Mark Briggs' name rang a bell and not just because he's been here before, go here for details of his illustrious WPL career
