You won't glean a lot from the Mkt Drayton website either...

But hey, if he's good enough who cares!

What a pearl, a real gem. From the MDTFC web site "Market Drayton Town F.C. are a football club based in Market Drayton, Shropshire". Well I'll be damned.
See, you learn something new every day.
Little did you know when you woke up this morning that your horizons would be thus expanded....

Wasn't long ago that we'd have laughed at the idea of signing players from Market Drayton
I can still hear the chuckles when we signed Carl Palmer from Rushall and that did not turn out to be a bad days work.
I do not give a monkeys cuss where a player has come from. As long as the player gives 100% effort they will do for me.I think that you will agree that Phil's signings last season gave the club that commitment and I am sure his new signings will equally give the same level of commitment.
Chelsea have only signed players on a free, are they suddenly becoming a bad side? I doubt it.
The glass is still half full. How many teams in the Conference North are now full time. I noticied Tamworth trained today late morning and into the early afternoon. They still say they are part time. Do all their players work on a night shift?
If we get back up we will have to compete with these teams and this will only be done with an increase in gates and sponsorship. Fans and the business community of Cannock and the outlining area must continue to support and help to increase the level of support if the club are to be serious about a lengthy stay in the Conference.
Phil asked the fans to believe in his speech at the presentation evening and we all must believe that we are going in the right direction otherwise we are all wasting our time,

Who had heard of Schmiechel when Ferguson signed him from Brondby for 550k? Only the Brondby fans, exactly the same with Cristiano Ronaldo and what Wenger has done with Da Silva, sometimes they're better players as they have no expectations to live upto (tell that to Shevchenko) so no pressure.

Exactly, none of us have seen the lad play yet so let's give him a chance.
Wasn't Jimmy Mullen the Manager at Market Drayton not so long ago?
Could be that the signing is something to do with him.

I would certainly hope the signing,as well as all the others, are something to do with him seeing as he is the assistant manager;).
I think you will find JM will be a good source for more local players of a good standard.Being based in Shropshire means he has good knowledge of a previously untapped area of talent for us,if there are good players out there Jim will know 'em.

And if they are good and we beat Telford to them and keep them all the better!
