Player Rumours

According to the ilkeston board it seems like we're interested in Paul Robinson again, there was rumours also about signing Sam Wood from Leek, wasn't there another from Leek? Finally another rumour I've heard is that a ex-Walsall player has been heard that he's hoping Hednesford will come in for him, personally I feel that he should be aiming for a higher standard at least but if it is true I would snap him up straight away as he can fill the voids left by Screaton and/or March.

Be nice to see how many of these do actually sign, just feature in pre-season or simply just made up.

Sounds good. Wonder what the scope would be for taking a few more of Walsall's fringe players on would be? It worked well for Witton last year with their players from Crewe.

Just to add the ex-walsall player wasn't a fringe player and I'm sure he played a good majority of their games. Personally I think that Stafford, Tamworth, Telford or even someone like Stockport might have gone for him but apprently he's worrying a bit.

Im surprised that this certain ex-walsall player hasnt been signed by someone already but maybe if we was interested at all, even though it would be a considerable drop in playing standard, we may have the edge seeing that he is local and his former teammate Rene Gilmartin has joined us.

If it did turn out we have any kind of chance of signing him, we should definately go for it, in my opinion.

Paul Robinson has apparently rejected terms with Ilkeston Town and is expected to sign for Hednesford Town FC.
