According to the Leek Town forum (referencing the Express & Star), HTFC have signed midfielders Rob Hawthorne & Sam Wood. A couple of useful acquisitions that will no doubt add two energetic 100% committed players to the HTFC cause.

The Leek forum is wrong. We've not signed these players.

I'm sure that Phil and Jimmy will be looking at various different players in pre-season but they're not signed until Rod posts the news that they are on the site.

i wouldve thought there would be quite a few players at the start of pre-season training that will be whittled down upto the first league game. maybe these two lads are gonna fall into that category rather than being signed.

Both players were in attendance at the first training session last Saturday along with 30+ other players. When the ink is dry I will let you know on the main news page.
:gossip:To whet your appetite we have signed a centre half who has represented his country numerous times at u-21 level and has european experience. When we get the all clear with regard to his international clearance we will be post further details.:wall:

I'm guessing he's played for Wales U-21 and either Barry Town/TNS.

:( cold, very cold. Just had a thought, I am sure Phil Starbuck gave the players name out on one of his press releases. Unfortunately we/I do not publish names until they have signed as it saves a lot of embarresment for both parties if the player moves somewhere else. The player I am refering to has signed and we are awaiting confirmation from the Football Associations involved.
