Any news on this 'interesting' friendly fixture you mentioned before Rod? :)

It has to be one of the Premiership teams that the manager spoke about having connections with in a Sporting Star interview some months ago. How about Man U now their Asian tour is off?

We can only hope, my 2 teams playing at the same time on the same pitch is something I never thought I'd see. :D

We have played Man Utd before, a very long time ago! We lost 4-0 I believe! I think it was the late 80's! No doubt somebody with a better memory than mine will remember the finer details!!:)

Rocco

At present we cannot release any info due to we are still waiting for written confirmation before we release details.

The team we hope to be playing will cause a lot of interest and should ensure a lot of exposure so hopefully it will go ahead.I am afraid Dobba that you will have to wait a little longer to see your beloved reds at Keys Park.

Soon as the letter hits the desk the news will be on the home page.

We are still trying for another home fixture to complete our friendly fixture programme.

I remember the United match at the 'real' Keys as though it was yesterday. They sent a strong reserve squad given there was an 18-man touring party in Scandinavia. I spoke to Lee Sharpe and Mark Robins after the game; the former had set up the latter for a hat-trick I recall . He'd just been signed from Torquay but was a Halesowen boy by birth. One talking point in the build-up was that Deiniol Graham from Cannock who had been knocking in a lot of goals for United Youth was playing. I am pretty certain Hednesford scored so I think it was 4-1.
