Having being scanning through the forums, it appears that Phil Hadland may have joined Kidsgrove Athletic, is this true or just an unconfirmed rumour?

No confirmation yet but if it turns out to be true, it'll be a big loss IMO.

That would be a big loss if Phil has gone to Kidsgrove. I hope he has not gone/:doh:

The problem with Hadders is that he lives in Warrington and was, I believe, reliant on Dave Whittaker giving him a lift.
I wouldn't have thought alleged move was much easier on the travelling though, that's if he has signed for Kidsgrove, obviously no one has any confirmation on this at the moment.

Kidsgrove seem to be throwing their weight around a bit at the moment, news has broken this afternoon on our forum that they have signed our club captain Steve Pope.
I can only assume they have got some financial backing behind these signings?

He's only been with us one season, so no one can criticise him on loyalty grounds, and for much of that time he was played out of position - I can't imagine he sees himself as anything other than an out-and-out winger. All the same, a real loss to the squad, assuming he does go, which couldn't be said of many of last season's new signings, most of the successes (Young, Adams, Dyer, Marshall) having had 'previous' with the Pitmen.

I think the travelling possibly would be easier for Phil if he has signed for Kidsgrove, and maybe we shouldn't be surprised as according to his player profile he has played for a million different clubs already.
Kidsgrove will play in the new Unibond Division One South and so away games for him will probably only take him up to Manchester and across to Derbyshire, Cheshire and North Wales one would have thought so there would be no travelling up to the North East or far North West.
I think Phil did well for us last season and had to play in a number of different positions but I didn't consider him to be a quality player for this level of football and should be able to be replaced easily enough if indeed he has gone.

It looks like he has gone.
There's a picture of him on the Kidsgove website in the 2007/8 squad.

With average crowds of 165 they obviously have big plans next season as they indicate they were after macpherson too.
