Glyn
25th-July-2007, 15:39
I was at Bromsgrove last night, excellent game, 1-1 draw with Fulham ressies/youth - Russ, Lamey and Neil Davis all played pretty well for the Home Team (though Lamey might have scored an early goal if he could kick with his right foot!)

Hallo

Knoxy scored for Alfreton today and Shevvy scored both goals for RUshall in their trophy win. I would imagine they will get more than 66 spectators at the game next week

Im sure Knox is a very good player I just never took to him. To me he always seemed liked everything was too much effort. But all the best to him :)

ok no names(too many past names would qualify) lot of effort= 10 goals approx v less effort 25 goals I know which one I would prefer.Anyway academic as he has moved on now.

I disagree. In modern football, scoring goals but providing nothing for others doesn't lead to success. Shearer won nothing with Newcastle and Liverpool won nothing of significance with Owen there.

Sorry to spoil you parade but it all depends on the team around them, one man who was pretty selfish and was successful would be the likes of Nistlerooy.

Yes the point being that triers who also don't score will take the team absolutely nowhere. But that's what opinions are about eh.It took some time to get over Danks moving on and to see Knox score 2 in 2 and in a league above will do likewise.I hope we don't miss him in what is a key game v Rushall

I see Dave MacPherson scored the opening goal for Witton away at Leek Town. They only managed a 2-2 draw however.

They all played for Shifnal Town v Barwell on Saturday.

There, you can sleep easy now....
