Thanks Glyn,Seems someone is stirring the you know what. This thread was on the forum before the MD had phoned me at work to inform me that Nigel had chosen not to take up the offer of Reserve Team Manager.

I am of the opinion that the future of the young players are well looked after as they were prior to Nigel joining the club and will continue long after. It is a personal choice and I wish Nigel all the best for the future except for when his chosen club play the Pitmen.

I will post the news item on the home page

I had some really enjoyable evenings watching the Youth Team during season 06-07 (somehow the time to do so never did materialise last season!), so would endorse your comments wishing Nige every success wherever he lays his hat next

I can only endorse what Glyn has posted above, it was great fun working with Birchy and the players that he had during the 06-07 season, i.e. Stychey, Meakin-Richards, Ellis, Edwards, Dickinson, Molloy etc. etc. A first class youth team that produced some great moments!
I would also like to wish Nigel all the best for his next appointment in football and I am sure that he will already have plans in that department.

My apologies for not posting on here earlier, but the last week has been a little hectic. I would like to thank the people who made my time at keys park a pleasurable one. Many people contributed to this including players, backroom staff, supporters and club management.
I take away with me memories of a great youth team side, with very good players and excellent backroom staff, setting up the new reserve set up, bringing reserve and youth players through to 1st team recognition, to working alongside Phil in supporting and training the 1st team lads.
I hope its not too long until I visit Keys park again, either in the stand or in the opposition dug out!

Good luck for the new season

Kind Regards
Birchy

All the best for what ever you do. You did a great job with the reserves and also with the first team. You will be missed by the supporters, hope you come to a few games. :clap2::clap2::clap2:
