I thought Chasetown only paid 30 quid a man:D. Evidently this may not be the case (mind you it's all relative to the likes of Cradley!)

It is all more than relative!

I have just had to vote on what MyFC/Ebbslfeet's weekly wage budget should be next season.

If they are going to be paying 5 figures a week as a mid table Conference side, then the likes of Barrow and Eastbourne won't have a prayer of competing.

Incidently less than 3 thousand of the 35 thousand + members bothered to vote on what could turn out to be the single most important vote of the season.

same old story Jon, 20% of people doing 80% of the work/voting (it's called Pareto's Priniciple you know.... figures are approximate!!)

Here's the Barrow view

and this is interesting, if just a tad ironic that it comes from NBH

Having seen brief figures, profit and loss etc for the last 6 months for Ebbsfleet, it does make interesting reading. Looking at gate receipts, wages, programme sales etc, etc you really do get an insight into how things are run and what it costs to run a football club. I don't think that a lot of our fans really know how much times have changed since we found ourselves in the Conference all those years ago!
