Pleased to see we have a friendly arranged away at Alsager Town. Its a lovely little village club who have come a long way in the last 4 years. They have a very small but very vocal hardcore supporters as well, hopefully as many Pitmen fans as possible will travel up there and they'll have a great day. I'm sure it'll be a new ground for many of our fans.

The squad is shaping up quite nicely now, the new signings sound good and hopefully we will trouble the play offs at the end of the season next year and not just at the start and the middle!
I was hoping we could have signed Michael Lennon, a player I have followed the progress of in the last 5 years since I first saw him play. He scored 51 goals for Kidsgrove last year but we've signed the next best in Peter Knox, second top scorer with 40 in the Unibond Div One last season.

I saw Michael Lennon play in the Staffs Senior Cup final last month against Rushall. If I’m correct he scored a hat trick and could have had 5 or 6 on the night, he looked a very good player.

He is an excellent player mate.

He first came to my attention when I was a student living in Stoke playing for Newcastle Town. He banged in over 100 goals in 4 seasons with them I believe despite missing half a season with a broken leg.
Should be playing at a higher level without a doubt.
