I went on holiday and have now returned to find a new Chairman, a new Manager, new players and all before the end of May! Whats going on??

It will certainly be an interesting season, a lot of us aren't going to know anything about the new Manager, how he likes to play or his Managerial record. I suggest that he will know a lot of players from the West Midlands area and it will be hard for him to begin with and hope he keeps the majority of last seasons squad together - although we will have to wait and see where PS ends up, as he may try and bleed us of some players he bought to Hednesford in the first place.

The potential extra income into the club will no doubt help, but Mr Savva is going to have a good relationship with the fans. Having already stated he has never been to a Hednesford match or Keys Park before, is an Everton fan  and wanted to get involved in football, the more sceptical of Pitmen will wonder what his long term motives are. If he isn't a fan, then how can he have the passion? From what I have read then he isn't in it to make money in the short term and I welcome a change and some fresh views and ideas to take us forward.

Mr Savva obviously already knows the new Manager in some capacity and although me and PS didn't always get along, its a shame to see him go in these circumstances.

Changing to a Tuesday night doesn't bother me, it was always something of a tradition to play on a Monday night and although it will now clash with more televised games, there will be less of a visible presence of "rival" clubs watching and scouting. But remember, just because a Manager doesn't come to watch us, doesn't mean he isn't going to send someone else. It also helps the players and it should see a difference in midweek results at home - we didn't win enough last campaign.

Incidently I don't want to name drop but one of the 9!! hotels I stayed in on my Alpine break, was managed by Giancarlo Torriani who was a Swiss Bobsleigh Champion. Very nice chap, although he was under the impression that Switzerland were going to win the European Campionships! (see how I edged in the link to football!)
