I understand all the reasons the decision has been taken

The only adverse comment I would make is that Tuesday nights are more likely to clash with TV games (and I suppose Wolves and Albion matches?) which might take away some potential support?

I think I'm right in saying that ITV Champions League coverage is on Wednesdays from next season, so there might be a little less impact on gates than there would have been if they were still showing games on Tuesdays?

What night is free from football as with Sentanta also showing matches we would have a problem with any night. The Champion League match on ITV does move to Wednesday so that will be one less problem but at the end of the day all football is fighting a losing battle in midweek attracting fans due to the football on TV.

Fair comment Rod

One way we may be able to help ourselves is when it comes to re-scheduling postponed games, (there will inevitably be some!) by which time we should have some idea what the competition is

I went to such a game at Rhyl last season which was scheduled for the same night as Liverpool v Arsenal in the Champs League 1/4-final (a fixture which was already known when the game was rearranged). Predictably, while the faithful regulars turned up, they reckoned at least 300 were missing in favour of couch-potato support
