As most of you will know it is around this time of year that I mess around with the website, upload a whole new site and totally confuse everyone that has just got used to using the old design. So here is a list of the changes that are being made this time around...

That's right, there aren't any. There may be some minor cosmetic changes but basically the site will be staying as it is for the 2008-2009 season. I think the design doesn't look too dated yet and there will certainly be no need this year to create a new forum login etc as has been the case in the past. As always, if anyone has any ideas for the site or anything you want to see on there that isn't there already then please let me know.

I should just mention for you techie people out there that the sites RSS feed is now working correctly if you want to collect the news stories. If you don't know what a RSS feed is then don't worry about it, you've survived this long without. This has also enabled our news stories to be syndicated on newsnow.co.uk. NewsNow is the UK's number one news portal which provides internet press stories to nearly 2 million users all over the world including all major media outlets and press associations. So when we post a story on our site we really are telling the world! As far as I am aware ours is the only football club below the Conference National (and there are only a handful there) that has this level of exposure.

Finally, thought I might run a Euro 2008 Prediction League on the site during June/July if there is any demand for it. I'm sure I could sort out a prize or two but I don't really want to go to the trouble of setting it up if nobody is interested. I would use our current Prediction League software as that is idle until August anyway.

Thanks

Me too. (Don't think I'll be watching much if any of it but at least that will add a little interest!)

And thanks for not messing with the site and the forum Steve, I might finally make it off the bench....

FAO Steve...

There's a thing on the front page about subscribing to a newsletter and winning the chance of two tickets to watch England play (presumably the second prize is four tickets?).... just tried that by inserting my email address there and got an error message, is it just me...??

Thats something to do with the front page provider. I would presumme that your e-mail will be inundated with unwanted e-mails for goods etc. You probably have worn out the ***** extension kit now so a new one might be just up your street.:D

I will watch the england game on Setanta as I cannot afford the petrol to get to Wembley. Mind you if you enter and win the tickets I will be available to keep you company (no charge)

Yes that new front page has nothing to do with me. It's provided by supportingyourclub.com and designed and hosted by them. I just point hednesfordtown.com to it.

Terry or someone at the club will have to give them a call and see what the problem is.

Thanks fellas

I might be able to afford the petrol to get to Wembley, but nothing to eat or drink when I get there....

That's another one for my legal file.

And while you're on throwing insults about, can't you stop getting at miners??
