Just want to say a big thank you to everyone who made my stay at Hednesford Town so enjoyable. Sorry it has taken so long for me to get on here but first of all I couldn't work out how to start a "New Thread" and then once I did for some reason it wouldn't submit !!! Well I am a Geordie remember so technology stopped for me when they invented the wheel !!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my spell at Hednesford Town - you are a great bunch of supporters and I love the passion you show for the team you support.
I have really enjoyed working with Phil. He is an excellent manager, a good coach and a great lad as well (and he has become a big fan of real ale - something I must take credit for !!). With your patience and support I know Phil will take this club back to its former glories and become a true Hednesford Town legend.
I have also enjoyed, immensely, working with Terry Brumpton. He is the "rock" on which Hednesford Town is based and I have first hand experience of how hard he and his family work for you all to make this club a success. Terry, Jules, Sarah I love you all and I am going to miss you SO much.
Leaving a club of Hednesford Town's stature was a massive decision for me - if only you all knew the anguish I went through before making my decision - but at the end of the day the challenge of being the person to lead Lincoln United to the next level of their development just proved too much to resist.
As you know it is a smaller club than Hednesford Town with very limited finances but in the past, under similar financial constraints, that is where I have done my best work (eg Hucknall Town). Let's hope I can repeat that success.
Anyway thanks again for all your support - you will always have a special place in my heart.

Just saw your post John, thanks for everything that you did for us last season and all the best for your new appointment at Lincoln United.
I hope to see you both home and away in the new season, perhaps for a pint of your beloved 'real ale'!
See you soon!

John, sad to see you go but must respect your wishes to become a manager in you own right again.
Even though you didn't attend the interview for the job last year with Phil the knowledge I had of you working with Phil and in your own right previously was a big factor in selecting both of you for the post.
You will be a big success at Lincoln of that I have no doubt because you have the qualities needed to succeed.
Just give us a few rants at the officials when you come back to Keys Park, always brightened a dull game, and the very best of luck to you sir!
