Standing on the halfwayline is an education. The severe verbal ear bashing players get is unrelenting.Untill these so called supporters get behind the team, our home matches will become a nervious dred for some.A couple of mistakes and you are verbely slated.

I can assure you halfwayliner that it is not only when the Pitmen are at home that this occurs!
Standing with the travelling supporters behind the goals in the second half yesterday, I could hear one 'gentleman' continually berating our players, laughing at any errors that were made, bursting into a chorus of 'She fell over, etc etc.' when Alan Nagington went to ground in one particular incident.
What the f*** does this man travel for? Paying out decent money for coach travel, admission to ground, pie, pint or two etc. when all he wants to do is spoil the day for genuine supporters.
Stay at home mate and do everyone a favour, including yourself.

Standing around the halfwayline myself I would say that the linesmen and referees are the main target for any severe verbal ear bashing.
People standing there do shout encouragement for the team as well.
