All the best John - I'll remember to bring protective gear to Lincoln in case of any miss-kicks of footballs!!!

Sorry to see you are leaving us Rammers, just after you finally got to grips with the local 'lingo'.
All the best with your new appointment at Lincoln Utd and we will look forward to meeting up with you in the NPL next season!
Have to admit I'm amazed that everyone so far has been so pleasant about it, I was piggin annoyed when I heard the news - so soon after talk of John being "gutted" at losing Ryan Young and PS talking about loyalty....
But here's my view after an hour to digest the news which some kind soul texted me with...
Fans have emotional attachments to their clubs - whereas coaches, managers and players - with a few exceptions who actually support the club they work for, such as Neil Warnock (until this week!) - care about how the team is doing as long as they are there but are only too happy to go elsewhere when they see it suits them best. Think of Robbie Fowler (and Michael Owen I think?), Everton fan as a kid but only too happy to ply his trade with their main rivals.
We don't like it but it's the way it is, so I guess we'd better get used to it
As someone has said, maybe John will post (he did from time to time on the old forum) - Danny Jellicoe did when he left us, and Louise on Ryan's behalf likewise.
Having said that, all the best John, don't mind you finishing second next season as long as you're one place below us.
Good luck John at lincoln it has been great being in your company for the past season and look forward to when we meet up again

A bit suprised that this has happened, but you can guarantee that Mr Starbuck will have someone lined up as I am sure he knew about this some time ago. John was great to watch in the dugout and it was good to see someone so passionate and worked up as he was on a match day. Didn't always agree with what he shouted but who does ever agree with football?
Just remember guys that Rammers turned down Leek last season to stay the rest of the season with us and I can tell you one thing, I wouldn't like to be in the same postcode as Rammers, let alone the same dressing room after getting badly beaten. Do those Lincoln players know what's in store for them ;)

Will be interesting to see if both managers are in the market to sign the same players as no doubt they have their contacts in the East Midlands area.

I agree broadly with Glyn. just like to add one thing... it stinks, who is he to be spouting to us of Youngy,s credentials, but we just have to put up with it and hope he does well in his future career for his sake

Gutted that's all I can say,but one question Rammers why Lincoln Utd you are much better than that surely.
Anyway all the best and thanks for the entertainment last season, that was worth the admission money itself some days.
And Phil - you must be gutted too.

I think you will find that we are ahead of them as it stands (Alphabetically of course!)
Anyway good luck Rammers , I happen to know that they have a great mental asylum in Lincoln (or at least they did 22 years ago!!).
: Paddy Power odds for us to get Lincoln first game???
Yeah its a bit sad to see John go as hes a good character but i wish him all the best at lincoln and hope he is successful and will look forward to seeing him back down keys park :clap2:

After presentation night I wondered about the loyalty bit, comes as a bit of a shock but thats football I suppose.

What a shame you have left us. You are very well liked round these parts Rammers. If you want to keep in shape I'd leave them Chinese Takeaways alone if i were you son. Carry on reading the Daily Star mate, all the best at your new post.
