.... and indeed to the rest of the new site!

I've tried to concentrate on one word.... "simple". For that reason you won't find any flashy graphics, clever javascript drop down menus or fancy scrolling things on the site. All people want is to get at information as quickly and as easily as possible plus have a decent place to discuss it. That's what I've tried to do.

The new results archive database goes back 16 seasons with another 10 or so to be added and the new photo gallery has around 700 photos from last season loaded into it. Various other pages need 'tweaking' and completing over the next couple of weeks and some design layouts may change slightly but basically this is it! Hope you like it :D

Nice site, very sleek, reminds of the latest Football Manager games. Also are we having a links page to other teams wesbites and forums? Found it very useful to what they thought of us before and after games.

All part of the First Team database. Just click on any opponent name or switch to 'Opoonents' in the drop down menu box and you will see what I mean.

Steve, it looks good!

just wondering whether pasting in links to other stories is easier with the new forum than it was with the old so I'm trying this one just to see...

(Yes it is! - looks like we still have to provide a "reason for editing" though )

Also I hear that we have Graham Poll at Keys Park in October: will squashed fruit be provided to throw at him?

Pal of mine suggests we invite him to stay behind afterwards for a game of cards. Yellow ones. Three of them

:D

One other question Steve, can you point me to where I find the "Terms and Conditions", naturally I clicked on agreeing to them without reading them (as you do!)

Good point... I'll add some to the FAQ section some time soon but it'll just be the usual standard stuff about sending the boys round if you don't behave :boxing:

Well done Steve. Site looking good... msg board definately clearer and easier to follow than last season, might also remain logged in and be able to comment more frequently.

Shall be a more regular attender this season if fixtures allow (though last season wasn't all that bad considering)!

Hello to Sian and family also...this one is me :-) Rob

Must agree with the others Steve and say what a good job you've done with the new website.

One question about the forums though, how do I go by changing the topic view so the last post is on the bottom rather than the top?

Hallo
16th-May-2007, 16:29
I had the same problem as well Dobba, just go to 'User CP', then 'Edit Options' then scroll down to the 'Thread Display Option' and change the mode to 'Linear - Oldest First'.

Thanks for pointing that out it does make more sense... I've changed that to the default now for new signups.

Thanks also for the positive comments about the new site, much appreciated.

... and while you're in there folks you might also want to change to "40 posts per page", I did that last time around and it saved a lot of time clicking onto next page...

tell you what, considering there's no football to talk about at present, the new forum is a lot more active than the old one would have been (even though some of our regular posters haven't joined us yet!) - that's encouraging
